How to Gift Data from Glo to Glo
You can gift data to a Glo number using USSD or the Glo Cafe app.
Make sure you have enough main airtime balance to pay for the data plan you want to give.
Below, the steps for each method are explained in detail, so you can choose whichever is most convenient for you.
Method #1: Using USSD
To gift data on Glo using USSD:
- Dial *777# and select option 1 for “Data”.
- Choose option 2 for “Gift Data”.
- Select the data plan you want to give.
- Enter the recipient’s number and send.
- Follow the additional prompts to complete the transaction.
Method #2: Using Glo Cafe App
Another simple method to gift data on Glo is through the Glo Café App. Glo Café combines all account management features in one place.
You can download the Glo Cafe app for Android or iPhones using the respective links.
To gift data on Glo using Glo Cafe:
- Log into Glo Cafe with your Glo number.
- Click “Share/Gift” on the home page of the app.
- Make sure you’re on the Gift Data tab and enter the Glo number, or click the contact icon to select from your contact list.
- Click “Select Data Pack” and choose the data plan.
- Finally, click on “Gift Data.”
When you use either of the two methods mentioned above, the data will be sent to the Glo mobile number you specified. The recipient will receive a notification via SMS informing them about the data gifted to them.
